چکیده

The Hartree-Fock ground state phase diagram of the one-dimensional Hubbard model is calculated, constrained to uniform phases, which have no charge density modulation. The allowed solutions are saturated ferromagnetism (FM), a spiral spin density wave (SSDW) and a double spin density wave (DSDW). The DSDW phase comprises two canted interpenetrating antiferromagnetic sublattices. FM occurs for small filling, SSDW in most of the remainder of the phase diagram, and DSDW in a narrow tongue near quarter (and three-quarter) filling. Itinerant electrons lift the degeneracy with respect to canting angle in the DSDW. The Hartree-Fock states are metallic except at multiples of a quarter filling. Near half filling the uniform SSDW phase is unstable against phase separation into a half-filled antiferromagnetic phase and a hole-rich SSDW phase. The dependence of the ground state wave number on chemical potential is conjectured to be a staircase. Comparison is made with higher dimensional Hubbard models and the J1 − J2 Heisenberg model. Cellular dynamical mean-field theory for the one-dimensional extended Hubbard model

We explore the use of exact diagonalization methods for solving the self-consistent equations of the cellular dynamical mean field theory for the one-dimensional regular and extended Hubbard models. We investigate the nature of the Mott transition and convergence of the method as a function of cluster size as well as the optimal allocation of computational resources between bath and ‘‘cluster-i...

Static versus dynamic fluctuations in the one-dimensional extended Hubbard model

The extended Hubbard Hamiltonian is a widely accepted model for uncovering the effects of strong correlations on the phase diagram of low-dimensional systems, and a variety of theoretical techniques have been applied to it. In this paper the world-line quantum Monte Carlo method is used to study spin, charge, and bond order correlations of the one-dimensional extended Hubbard model in the prese...

Chiral Anomaly and Spin Gap in One-Dimensional Interacting Fermions

Semiclassical approach has been developed for the one-dimensional interacting fermion systems. Starting from the incommensurate spin density wave (SDW) mean field state for the repulsive Hubbard model in 1D, the nonAbelian bosonized Lagrangian describing the spin-charge separation is obtained. The Berry phase term is derived from the chiral anomaly, and we obtain the massless Tomonaga-Luttinger...

One-particle spectral weight of the three-dimensional single-band Hubbard model.

Dynamic properties of the three-dimensional single-band Hubbard model are studied using quantum Monte Carlo combined with the maximum entropy technique. At half-filling, there is a clear gap in the density of states and well-defined quasiparticle peaks at the top ~bottom! of the lower ~upper! Hubbard band. We find an antiferromagnetically induced weight above the naive Fermi momentum. Upon hole...

Flow to strong coupling in the two-dimensional Hubbard model

We extend the analysis of the renormalization group flow in the two-dimensional Hubbard model close to half-filling using the recently developed temperature flow formalism. We investigate the interplay of d-density wave and Fermi surface deformation tendencies with those towards d-wave pairing and antiferromagnetism. For a ratio of next nearest to nearest neighbor hoppings, t′/t = −0.25, and ba...
